TYR Energia and the commercial building Vision Offices have just signed a contract for energy supply. Located in Barra da Tijuca, the condominium has 388 units, in addition to a mall with 40 stores, which will have up to 20% cheaper electricity bills and from renewable sources.
Once the TYR Energia smart meter is installed, all energy consumption information is recorded. By accessing the platform, the customer can monitor their spending in real time and understand how their energy is consumed, and can even make important investment decisions such as replacing old devices.
This is the first time that such a solution has been offered to the Brazilian market. “Our model gives customers autonomy over their own light consumption, bringing benefits such as savings on the bill, technology to monitor their expenses and sustainability using renewable sources”, explains Eduardo Miranda, co-founder of TYR Energia.
TYR Energia began operations with the Quartier Ipanema condominium. The building had a savings of 17% on its electricity bill in May 2020 during the coronavirus pandemic. The entire investment for the installation of the TYR Energia solution is made by the company, at no cost to the customer. In the case of Vision Offices, TYR Energia installed a new substation so that the building was ready to receive the solution.
